In G2G continued effort to promote economic resilience at the household level, we organized a Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) training for parents in our operational communities.
The training focused on building parents’ capacities to save money regularly, access affordable loans, and manage finances transparently through community-based savings groups. Participants were guided on group formation, leadership structures, record keeping, loan management, and conflict resolution.
Parents also explored how savings and loans can be strategically used to support their children’s education, healthcare, nutrition, and small-scale businesses. Interactive discussions and practical exercises enhanced participation and understanding.
This training has strengthened parents’ confidence, encouraged collective responsibility, and laid the foundation for sustainable income generation. By empowering parents economically, we are indirectly improving outcomes for children and fostering long-term community development.
We remain grateful to our donors and partners whose support continues to transform lives and strengthen families.
