To commemorate the day G2G held an event with 50 participants including a representative from medica mondiale, network members, network leaders, stakeholders, line Ministries, Family support unit (FSU), and partner organizations. This event was supported by @medicamondiale and @bmz_bund This day focuses attention on the need to address the challenges girls face and to promote girls’ empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights.
As an organization working with and for girls, we believe adolescent girls have the right to a safe, educated, and healthy life, not only during these critical formative times but also as they mature into women. If we support our girls effectively, they will have the potential to change the world, breaking boundaries and barriers. This year’s theme recognizes the meaningful participation of girls in decisions that affect their lives Being part of the implementation process is the key to breaking the cycle of discrimination, violence and empowering girls, and young ladies to become the free women of tomorrow.
